Artist’s Comment

Like many, I was struck deeply by the Apollo images of the earth rising over the moon’s horizon. To see wholeness is to see one thing, no matter how many constituent parts comprise it. Indeed, we are each made up of many parts. Yet only when they are all authentically engaged in relationship to the world, can the unique form that each of us makes be seen.

This box can help us remember to see wholeness, not only in the fragile and beautiful orb that we inhabit, but also our own Being. And in seeing that wholeness make a choice to be part of the world.
